Does anyone know how to get in touch with this phone service that West Carroll DC uses. Trying to find out how much each 15 minute call is costing.

Infinity Networks sucks. I should know I had to use it for three years after they took over all of north Louisiana's facilities. I don't know how much a call to certain areas are, but I know that from Caldwell Correctional Center to Bismarck, Missouri is $18.35 for 15 minutes. If the facility offers calling cards on their stores compare prices, you may end up saving alot of money. About 4 months before I got released Caldwell started offering 33 minute cards (really only had 31) for $15.00. and cut 75% off of the cost of my calls. So if it would be cheaper and you can trust your locked-up loved one to use the money for the phone card, it may be the way to go.

I have 2 numbers for this infinity network 1-866-681-2948 and 1-318-253-5044 I used to have to use that ,then when he was moved we started using pre paid I have a number for that its through correctional billing evercom its good 1.89 for each 15 minute call if you are local 1-800-844-6591 the best thing is you can pay like 50.00 and when its gone its gone then they dont just keep adding it up. You get to choose how much you spend.

Is it allowed to get a cell phone with their area code? My husband is in Allen Correctional Center. I have a 318, their's is 337 area code. Do you think it would be cheaper this way, if that is allowed?

Has anyone recently used infinity phone services? Do you know if I can prepay the bill or is it cheaper for him to just get a calling card? Thanks!

I've been using Infinity for the last 18 months or so. I think prepaying and calling cards equal out the same. They can only get $10 calling cards tho. Depending on where you live that can go pretty quickly.

I've found it depends on the prison here in Louisiana as well. My husband cannot use calling cards so MCI it is....but I have found that the price of the call is the same for him 30 minutes down the road or 3 hrs away...go figure!

Smith...from my understanding, Infinity does allow phone calls from prisons to cell phones. CountryDove has had some experience with Infinity if you want to PM her. ;)

Smith, I was using Infinity Networks and I had a prepaid account setup for my cell phone. My husband had a pin number for the home phone and my cell phone. I hope this info helps you.

Smith,

When T was in Farmerville he used infinity phone cards and I like them better than global tel. With infinity I did not have to sit at home an wait for a phone call I could leave with the house and go where ever and he could call me on my cell with the phone cards. He now in Allen Correctional and that is in Kinder and he has to use Global tel and I don't like them because it is so short and once maybe twice a week phone calls.
Have to make plans around the phone calls and in hopes that he can find a free phone along with a phone that doesn't have noise in the back ground. I hope this helps. Good Luck

Is anyone else having trouble adding money to their account? It keeps aying my bank declined the transaction and I know I've got more than enough in there. I also called my bank just to make sure nothing was wrong with my card or anything, they said everything is fine. I am stumped! Just wondering if anyone has had or is having this problem too!?

I am sorry to that you are having that problem. When T was in Farmerville and using the Infinity cards we never opened an account he always bought the calling cards. I wish I could give you some advice on this subject. Sorry. Hope things do get better for you.

Ok so I figured out what the problem was. I forgot to change my address at the bank when we moved so the address I gave Infinity doesn't match the address of my debit card, that's why the bank is denying it. Going to change it tomorrow and it should work then, fingers crossed!

I use Infinity, our calls cost me $5.00 a piece, and yes he can still use a calling card if you have an account, there will be different pin #'s he'll have to dial before calling out on these. The calls are 15 minutes, but he can call you back if no one is waiting on the phone and talk for another 15, it's just gonna cost ya! You can pretty much figure out how much it's gonna cost ya if you go by the $5.00/call, and they charge that $4.50 processing fee everytime you add money to the account, calling cards save you that much but it's always nice to have money on there just in case the prison runs out of them or something ya know. Hope I've helped! Good luck!

Hi welcome to PTO and the Louisiana forum. When my T was in a parish jail we only used a calling card. But like Clss stated that she uses it more and her information is very much correct.

but allen parish don't use infinity huh? cause when hoolio calls, global tel announces their name. matter of fact they just called me about 5 min ago,the recording said if i wanted to continue to recieve collect calls from the correctional facility i have 2 days to call them back or i won't be able to recieve those calls. and these couple of days i need to talk to hoolio, cause his release day is coming up& we are still handling his business, trying to find a residence.

I'm confused. Should I just let him pay for the calling cards and keep calling my cell phone with our area code (985). He's at Rivers. Or should I get a prepaid cell phone with his area code for him to call? Does that even matter? Or is getting an Infinity pre-paid the way to go, with a cell phone with his area code? UGH! By the way the phones in his dorm. Most of the time I cant even hear him.
