Hi Chris,
As far as getting a loved one transferred to another facility

How can I get an inmate moved closer to me or farther away from my community?

I thought I read somewhere on the GDOC web site that the inmate had to request the transfer. However after searching the site again I found the following statement in on the FAQ page.

If you wish to have an inmate considered for transfer, please contact Corrections' Classification section at 404-656- 4987.

Good Luck
