The North Central Correctional Institution seeks to provide offenders of felony convictions within the State of Ohio a safe, efficient, humane and appropriately secure correctional institution, while maintaining dedication to the protection of citizens of the State of Ohio and the local community. Mindful of Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction's initiatives of re-entry, community service and victim reparation, we seek to instill in offenders an improved sense of responsibility and the capacity to become law-abiding members of society.

Support Services for the Grieving: All inmates who are notified of the death or serious illness of a family member are sent a follow-up memo stating out concern availability, and explaining how to arrange a consultation with a chaplain. Those who experience the death of a loved one are sent an information brochure outlining the grieving process. We also provide a free condolence card, donated by a mission agency, so that the inmate can support his family.

Networking With Local Churches-- The Disciple Study: The Disciple Study is an intensive 34-week immersion in the content and history of the Bible. Developed by the United Methodist Church Board of Discipleship, Disciple requires a certified instructor to lead it. The Institutional Chapel has held four sessions of this course of study with 10-12 men completing the course each time.

You have to be on their approved visitors list. Once you are, you can do it at one of the kiosks inside the prison or online at offenderconnect.com.
