Okay it says on Saturday and Sunday immeadiate family only would that include me since I am his fiance and our kids or is that like mom dad sister and brothers? And how many people can visit at one time?

If you are listed as a signifigant other on his visiting list, then you are considered immediate family. Most places allow 4 visitors at a time during one visiting block. His children (bio or step) are considered immediate family. Let me see if I can remember the list:

sig other (wife, gf, fiance)
children (bio, step)
parents (bio, step)
grandparents (bio, step)
great grandparents (bio, step)
grandchildren (bio, step)
brother (bio, step)
sister (bio, step)
niece/nephew
Aunt/Uncle

I may have missed a few, but that is what is considered immediate family. You HAVE to be listed as sig other to be that, so if he has you listed as friend, then you cannot visit on Sat or Sun unless the prison has it's own special times (SECC has one weekend a month where anyone on the visiting list can visit).

At SCCC you don't actually have to be immediate family for a normal Saturday or Sunday visit. The website says you do, but you don't. I visited before he had me added as his significant other with no problems. The only time you have to be immediate family that I know of is for food visits.

Also I have read some threads that say that they ask for birth certificates to prove his children are his, is that true? Because his name isnt on our sons birth certificate and of course when the new baby comes it will be a while before I get his birth certificate.

We've been taking our nine month old grandson to visit his father at both NECC and MECC since the baby was less than a month old, we were told we had 90 days from his date of birth to get his social security card, which his mommy did and we've only had to actually use it once or twice! You do need to have the children on his visiting list! (By the way, my grandson's last name is NOT currently the same as his daddy's but that did NOT make a difference!)

I could be wrong but I thought they changed that at all the prisons in MO? I know it says on the site, but I heard it was changed...I don't know...it might be worth a phone call.

I think some did, but it was up to the institution.

I just had this conversation with a CO at WMCC and they said that some of the smaller ones had gone to letting all visitors visit all days but others couldn't handle all that traffic...WMCC being one of those that can't so it's still only immediate family and significant other on Sat and Sun. So yes it might warrant a call.

At SCCC you do not have to be immediate family to visit on sat and sun. My best friend (not realted to my son) went with me to visit my son last weekend. And other non-family has visited him on several occasions on the weekends.

Sorry if this sounds like a dumb question but I have somebody who was in MECC level 3 and now is in SCCC which is a level 5. Any idea why they would move him from MECC, he has his first parole hearing in December.

Any info would be great, thanks !

I will be traveling from Kansas City to Licking to see my ex with my son and grandson possibly on November 19. We will be staying in a motel and doing our visit in the 20th as well as returning home that day. But.... may go down early on the 20th and do visitation that day, overnight in a motel and do a Sunday visit before returning home.

Anyone wanna ride and share some expenses? The car will proably be a Saturn so good on gas. Won't be able to share a motel room though

You can email me at (removed per policy; please contact member via pm system)
