Keep your focus

How can I even start to tell you all what God has done without writing down everything from the beginning?
I joined this site shortly after my husband took a plea for a crime he did not commit. We spent eighteen months in the Alabama prison system and every day was a gift from God. I give God the glory and the honor that we made it through some very long days and some nights that I thought would never end. We married at Bibb Correctional Facility in August of 2008 and my husband was released in July of 2009.
I was laid off from my job in January 2009 and God kept me going for six months as I claimed increase in my finances after my lay off from the job. In May my mother was diagnosed with terminal cancer. At the end of June God blessed me with a job with a salary that was above the salary of the job I was laid off from in January.
In July my husband came home and helped me through a very emotional and tramatic fight for my mothers life. God took her home in September.
At the end of September I sat in the VP’s office and was offered a new position and a transfer with an addition of an increase of $15,000.00 a year above the increase I had already received. In less than 100 days God increased my finances by $20,000 above the salary I was used to making. I am now in the process of moving to another state and trying to get my husbands probation transferred.
It has been unreal how God has opened doors and how he so generously healed my mom completely the day he took her home. I can’t begin to tell you how important it is to hold onto to God through every tear you cry, every lonely night you face, and be thankful for the smallest things you have. He fulfills your every need if you just ask. Claim his favor in your life every day and speak in faith that he has everything under control. I can tell you it works….God works. I am living proof.
There is no battle too great, no problem too big, and no enemy too strong for him. He has our back we just have to allow him to take care of him and trust him in every aspect of our life. My husband is doing great. We have not had any issues since he has been released. He is loving, kind, gentle, and the same man I fell so deep in love with in May of 2007.
Our relationship grows stronger as a couple as our relationship with God gets deeper. Keep your focus. Understand the situation you are in is temporary. There is a place where there are no bars to separate us from those we love and we will get there one day if we continue to trust, obey, believe, and hold on through every storm.
We will get to the Other Side of Captivity and when we do I am going to give my mom a big kiss and tell her how much she was missed! Keep the faith ladies. My heart and prayers continue to be with you as I continue to fight on the frontline.
I love you all!
