We got engaged today. We were talking and he said "Babe, I need you to do something. Go to Denver County Clerks Office and asks them for some papers then fill them out and mail them to me. And I'll mail them back." Okay. So I asked him what the papers were. He got nervous, paused, then said "marriage by proxy". I freaked and was like "FOR REAL!?" I finally heard from him! After 5 weeks of not hearing his voice I finally got to hear from him. He was moved from Egeler to Lake County Residentual ReEntry Program (LCRRP) today which means he will be out in 90 days then they will put him a community housing (halfway house) while he waits for the Interstate Compact to go through. He said because he's lived in Colorado for 6 months, the house is in his name, and he has a Colorado ID which may make him a resident here. If that's the case they...

He finally was able to write to me. Two wonderful pages of his love and his worries. I guess they drove him through Colorado, New Mexico, all of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Arizona, Alabama, Tennesse, Kentucky, Ohio, and then Michigan. But he loves me as much as I love him! I'm so happy. Finanlly some relief.

Even though the D.A. probably can't or won't do anything I still wrote a letter to her on Pat's behalf urging her to help with his parole eligibity and transfer (just to make that a possibility). I figure it probably can't hurt to try. Plus it keeps me busy. I mailed a copy today and I will fax a copy as well when I get to work in a bit. Yep yep.

I haven't heard anything from my baby since Oct. 9th when he had his bunkmate call me to tell me that he was extradited.
