Ronald Lott- OK- scheduled for execution 10 December 2013 EXECUTED

Oklahoma death row inmate Ronald Clinton Lott,53, is scheduled to die by lethal injection on 10 December 2013, less than two months from now.

The article verifying this execution date is here: http://www.therepublic.com/view/stor...Execution-Lott

My thoughts are with Mr. Lott, his family, and his friends at this difficult time.

I am writing letters with Ronald for more then one year and last thursday I was shocked to read here, that he got a date now. At the same day I got a letter from him telling me this bad news. I thought, that there would be a little more time.

Update on Ronald Lott's case: He was sadly denied clemency by the Oklahoma Parole Board by a vote of 4-1, even though Jim Fowler, the son of Ronald's victim, has stated that he is against the death penalty and wishes to see Ronald sentenced to a whole-life (aka life without parole) term inistead.

amazing, isn't it? When the victim's family is for the death penalty, they trot them out and scream for justice for the family. When the victim's family is against the death penalty, they ignore them and say that the State wants death, and that's all that matters.

Ronald Lott has been executed (I am surprised that no one posted about this earlier) by the US state of Oklahoma. He was 53 at the time of his death.

The verifying article is here: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/s...,7501049.story

May he rest in peace.
