Absconding from Parole

Hi. I have a quick question for st Tammany probation. So my friend crossed line without permission. Then coat a misdemeanor but they let her out. Should she not say anything? Hope they don't see it?

Absolutely, having an outstanding arrest warrant for absconding from probation is going to mean that your return to custody will be much harsher than if you turn yourself in. You will be much better served to have a lawyer's advice, even if you can't afford to retain one. Call around and ask if they will be able help.

You can also call the probation office supervisor and negotiate turning yourself in. If they won't help, you can do the same thing with your local police/sheriff. Your warrant will be available to any law enforcement agency.

But its a misdemeanor and gone for one day

Welcome to Prison Talk. If she doesn't tell her PO, and the PO finds out about it anyway, that's not good. The choice is hers to make.

Ty and I drove across line. For 6 hours

Is part of the conditions of her probation that she not leave the parish? Is so, then she is in violation of her probation, especially if she left without permission from her PO. It would be better for her to be upfront about it and deal with the consequences than for her PO to find out later. The consequences could be more harsh if they find out she lied to them.
