Securus Issues: Pressing 1 but not registering? Help!
My SO and I talk several times every day with no issues but all day today I have not been able to talk to him! I hear the recording, I press 1 to accept, but it just keeps playing like I haven't accepted and then hangs up. So he probably thinks I am ignoring his calls until he can get my email explaining what's happening, but it's honestly torture for me too!
I called Securus and they were not very helpful, basically said they don't know what's wrong, they submitted a ticket, and told me to just keep trying to answer.
Has this happened to anyone? If so, do you know how to fix it, or how long this could last?

It is usually a Securus problem and they can't explain it.

Are you using a cell phone? That issue has happened to me several times. There's nothing that can be done, to my knowledge.

Yes I don't have a landline. Does it just start working again when it feels like it then?

So you have the Google voice app on your phone? Is so, delete it. This happened to mine and stopped once I removed the app.

Before I did this, I would have to restart my phone 2 or 3 times.

I don’t have google voice. I’ve restarted it several times, I just updated my phone so maybe that will do something, I have no clue. I called Verizon too and they didn’t know anything. It’s amazing how many people this happens to (according to google search) yet secures has no answer or solution.

I didn't have Google voice either, but the app voice on my phone. No number was registered to it. I did research and it said get rid of it. Knock on wood no problem since.

Yep, it pretty much starts working again when it feels like it. It's Securus, but they will blame the prison and the prison blames Securus. There's never been a clear cut answer to my knowledge.

I think I figured it out, because as soon as I did this 2 days later it worked..just sharing in case anyone else wants to try if it happens to them.
From what I gather, it has something to do with DTMF tones, so if itís an iPhone go to settings \ cellular \ cellular data options \ LTE OFF then restart your phone.
Again could have been a coincidence but worth a shot if you get as desperate as I was!
