Question about 80% sentence

Hello,
I thought I saw a similar question about this but I cannot seem to find the thread.

So this person I know in that is currently incarcerated had a release date of Feb 2020, but I checked his inmate datasearch this morning and now it's Aug 2020.

There is no ticket or anything like that. Feb 2020 was his minimum 80% time.
What is a reason if there is no ticket to add past the 80%?

Could be possible that the ticket information just hasn't updated yet. I've had to check days later to see everything fully updated. Sometimes just there classification was updated and the next day was when I would see ticket info.

Maybe they don't have a place to live yet?

They do have this on the webpage if you didn't notice
"Note: Due to system upgrades, some release type and date information may need to be verified with our Time Computation Unit."

My girl is at 80%... BUT her date reflects a prop57 parole early out date. Were in California though so that doesn't apply to you, but....What may apply is that they are counting all the earliest possible time out and that's with all discounts possibly further than the 80%. Calculations occur after seeing a counselor as well as possible discipline stuff. Losing good time happens, both for disciplinary reasons and administrative.

i called & verified. his date indeed got pushed further out, they said there was no reason why in his record just that it got pushed .

That’s unfortunate.. ☹️

the update to their website is pretty nice tho.

easier to understand what custody your LO is in, however.... they took off the ticket/infraction part

sorry to be so late, but this does not make sense. so they can just add time onto you after a release date has been established and not have a reason. is it me, or is that a criminal act of itself. am I missing something????

i mean... its not for no reason, he has manor tickets. i assume they added the time when they did a yearly classification

major*
but also , i THINK if you have tickets or a high classification you are not eligible for the release he originally had

Dont take the dates too seriously until March or so, they are updating their systems to reflect all of the new changes, so may not be accurate. Tell him to go see one of the counselors to discuss it, bit even then, they are looking at the same systems.. this wont be much help since hes supposed to get out I Feb, but he can go ask about it.

When calling the time computation the man stated the old system included the early release date. The new system does not. Also stated certain custody levels do not qualify for early release.
I talked with my man about this as well and he knew of the date listed on the site now. He just always based his release off the early release date.
