NM as receiving state

My bf is in VA and I want him to parole to NM. What do I need to know? What should I expect? Can he parole to NM even if there's no marriage involved? How is probation here?

As I understand it, for Interstate Compact he will have to parole to a family member...if there is no family member in NM, he will not be able to parole there.

What about a job offer?

A job offer alone will probably not be enough.

Here is a link to NMDC Probation & Parole: http://www.corrections.state.nm.us/ppd/ppd.html

and a link to the Interstate Compact rules that I found on the above NMDC website: http://www.interstatecompact.org/Por...CAOS_Rules.pdf

You've likely already found out, but a person can only parole or transfer to a blood relative or spouse. Generally one has to go to either a parent, sibling, aunt/uncle, child or grandparent.
