Default Actress Advocates for Prisoners

Actress Hilary Swank urges Churches to increase outreach to prisoners. She played the female leading role in "Conviction," a film based on the true story of Betty Ann Waters, a high school drop out who got her GED so she could eventually become a lawyer and help free her brother who had been wrongfully convicted of murder. In this article, Swank decries the need to address inhumane condition in our prisons from prison rape to the shackling of female inmates during childbirth. Please, check the article out at:
