Default My stress level is thru the roof!

I am so stressed! School is out, I was having a hard time finding a sitter. I went and got my cousins daughter and brought her here. Today I called all day and the phone was busy---so I was freakin. I get home and the fax machine phone is off the hook--the kids didnt know it!! My 5 yr old and the 11 yr old got into a fight apparently and now the 5 yrs old face on the left side is all scratched up . How much more can I take. MY family is dysfunctional and I am at the end of my rope.

I need J home. I am not used to having people in the house and I dont know if I can do it for 2 weeks!!

I am sorry to whine but I am about to loose it.

And today was the day that J's mom was to visit him but didnt bother to ask my kids to go.

First, sit down and take a deep breath.
You have someone to watch the kids. Maybe not your first choice but at least someone is in the house with them.
How about laying down some ground rules for everyone to follow, (including the sitter)?

As I said before it will all work out. I know you miss J. I give you alot of credit. I don't think I could raise kids today, especially alone.
Take care,
Pam

Hang in there One, did I ever tell you about the time my babysitter kicked a door in because my daughter's doorknob jammed? Or the time he (17 yo boy) had to call the cops because my drunken neighbor shoved him and took the kids from him? Then there was the time the lighter exploded in the toaster, that was wierd.
Just by way of saying, I guess, that there are times when we definitely put the "fun" in dysfunctional...times when my last nerve just snapped and I bark or roar or cry...but the love is all there, as I bet it is in your home too. My kids fight each other but if anybody (even me!) picks on either one, well, watch out for the other! and somehow we are all surviving.
That said, the single mom stuff is SOOOOO hard. Exhausting. I got no magic bullets, but have a bushel of hugs...
