Default Would you visit his Prison / Jail Cell if given the Chance?

I was just wondering if anybody would want to visit the Cell that you man/woman occupied durring their stay in prison system?

I personally would not, It think that it wouls stir up to much emotion, because remember your man or woman weren't the only ones in that cell at one time.

Just would like to know....What you think

I'm not that curious to know what his cell looks like...I've heard enough about it to have an image in my mind...

I think I'd be way too emotional...

Peace and blessings...

I definitely would. I make him describe every little detail to me so I can picture him and what he's doing when I'm missing him at home. He's in a small camp and they're in cubes so I don't think it would be too hard on me if I saw it. I watched the monitor behind the CO's desk at my last visit and could see the day room, phones he calls me from, shower room door, etc. Now when he calls me, I know exactly where he's standing and what the room looks like. I'm weird I guess, but I'd love to see where he sleeps with my pics all around him. lol

Yes I would. I have seen photos of his cell and have a good idea what it is like but I think to go there would give me better insight of what his life is like now.

Yes. Maybe if more of us out here would see a cell and see for ourselves what it's like to be locked up, we'd better understand what inmates have to live with - and why it is so important to them to get daily mail and a few dollars to buy treats and personal items! It might make us better understand why they sometimes get pretty grumpy or complain about things that we so often take for granted. Until you've walked in someone else's shoes you can never know what or how they feel. You think that you would get emotional??? Then think of how he must feel.

I'd sleep on the floor of my BF's cell if only to be near him.

But I would like to see it...see where he spent his time, see where he wrote letters to me, planned our futures...all that stuff.

yes, because he says he is a neat freak and i want to see if it is true, because he is always getting on me with pictures i send and stuff i leave around, he makes comments. so i want to see how clean he keeps his cell and how organized he keeps it.

That is a tough one for me. First though was YES as I can be a nosy thing. But I know how it affected me seeing just photo's of it and reading his descriptions. I may get very emotional. Than again.... that is no real reason to not see it.........

Yep! I'd see it in a heartbeat! Everything about him is important to me, and since his cell is a big part of his life right now, it's important to me too.

I would just because I like to know everything about what he goes through. When I visit him we can see the window to his cell so I know where it is located and that to me is cool.

Ladies, I think that I may be one of the few that can actually say that I have been to his cell, I know what it looks like, I know because I used to work in his cell block. I can say that him and his bunkee keep their cell neat and clean. They got a tv, radio, all kinds of stuff.

I've actually been in his cell...well not this one, but one long ago. My guy is VERY neat...like probably 99% of the other guys. Some of the cells almost looks like apartments the way the guys have them done up with all of their stuff...its amazing what they can do with a small space, and a lot of them have pictures up by their beds...lots of pictures!

Red face Definitely!!

Just to capture the aura of the place where his being was.

When he was in the HIP program on Rikers, on graduation day the officers allowed us to see the space the guys occupied -- their bed and locker. Everything was all packed up, and yeah, it did move me being there.

I had to think about this one...

I often wonder how he feels, living in those conditions. Just for one visit I would want to see how it is to be on the other side. Yes I would, and I know my pictures betta be alllll over the place!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only way I would visit Patrick's cell is if he could give me the grand tour which may take at least a few hours.

I would not be able to turn down the opportunity.
If for nothing else, I would just die to be able to plunder in that locker I hear so much about. Oh, yes.
