Man, where does this BS end? There are over a thousand volunteers working search and rescue on a hundred boats or so that are now just waiting at the bands of the water because they too were shot at this morning and FEMA has told them not to go in right now as it is obviously not safe.

So, it must be "let's shoot at the boats and helicopters day" today..

Here is what I think needs to happen. They need a police officer, national guardsman or army sniper on each of these boats and helicopters and when someone shoots at them, they take that person out...

Why? Because how many are going to die because of these idiots!? There is no evacuation going on now for the people who need and want it. People are not getting medical supplies, food and rescue because these bastards want to turn New Orleans into the Wild Wild West.

There is absolutely no justification to shot at the people who are coming in to save people.. I don't give a damn how frustrated anyone is.. But, I don't think it is the people who are frustrated doing it. I think it is the same jerks that are stealing TV's and other non-essentials.. The people who are using this disaster as an excuse to act a total criminal fool...

They sure aren't going to like it much when the disease and famine kick in..

I totally agree!!! It's like a 3rd world country down there right now. What are these people shooting wanting to prove? Very confusing.

As for the "why", I am sure many of them would say "because we can".

The Swat Team is now entering one area of the city to shut them down or just take them out. I'd prefer the latter in this situation.

I'm with you, Fed! Shoot anyone who shoots or who is found looting! Those thugs are nuts and need to be taken out. They are delaying the rescue process for thousands and people could die because of it. More National Guard troops are on the way - with automatic weapons.

One former military person just interviewed said it's WORSE than Baghdad!!

You knw its crazy but i bet the ppl who are caught doing this will come up with some stupid reason as too well i lost all my possesions i had nothing else to live for .. What is really wrong with some of these ppl mentalities i mean in some views police has and will always be something they want to avoid but these men and women are out there saving lives and helping the city of NO try to start to get back to some sort of normalacy even though that is a wayz offf but they have to start somewhere. I wish that these ppl would stop and thnk HEY these guys in the boats and the helicopters they are here to SAVE us from the DOOM left by katrina..

Over here we are watching all this on the News with disbelief. This is supposed to be the richest, most sophisticated country in the world and anarchy has broken out. We are used to seeing the poor and starving in Third World countries after floods and famines but they behave with respect and gratitude for anything that they are given.
What is this world coming to when the emergency services can't do their job because of fear of their lives.

Anarchy would likely break out anyplace that is devastated like this.. A bomb on a major city probably would be no different if the rescue and police forces were hampered by terrain to enter.

This is just ridiculous!! Someone needs to do SOMETHING to stop those "thugs" Take them out if need be...b/c there are people DYING b/c of them!! They don't give a damn about ANYONE besides themselves!! They are hurting EVERYONE in New Orleans...and they are NOT gonna be saved if they keep acting like this...b/c they won't let anyone in!!! What do they want...for them all to be STUCK there forever!?!? The water isn't gonna just disappear...so they NEED to get people outta there!! But how can anyone get out...when everytime anyone tries some crazy fools start shooting them up?! It is pure anarchy down there...and I do have to agree...WOW, this is America, it isn't suppose to be like this!!! In 3rd world countries they are GREATFUL to recieve any relief/aid/food/resue/etc...but no, these idiots go shooting at everyone and anything!!!

This whole situation has me SO aggrevated!! I want the people that WANT to get outta there...to be able to get outta there!! Something needs to be done and NOW...take those idiots out!! You got hundreds/thousands of people down there...and a whole bunch of idiots running around with shotguns, AKs, and barrettas...what the f***!!!!!!! Sorry for rambling...but I HATE this! Hugs
