Hello PTO moderators and staff. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for all the hard work that you do. There is no other place like this on the net, and I firmly believe that the work you all do here is of vital importance. My husband is due to come home in 34 days, but I know I'll continue to be here. Why? Because this place is important!!

I am from California but I currently live in Montana, where I share my home with a husband, a semi-housemate (who in his 30s, doubles as the teenaged son I never had...I spend a lot of time ensuring that he doesn't become an inmate ) and my darling, beloved cats,Fred and George, who ascended to the throne vacated by the best cat ever, my surrogate child, the late Mr. Whittens (My mother named him).
I look after my home, work part time and generally try to keep up with my obligations while keeping enough flexibility to drive back to Cali every few months.

I found PTO while searching for information about San Quentin, wanting to find out what my Whateverheis was facing... I lurked for a while before joining, but I've been here ever since... I started with one loved one locked up, my Whateverheis, and now have three that I try to look after....my honorary baby brother became an inmate and I picked up a penpal who became a cherished friend along the way.

Besides PTO, my "spare" time is spent reading, writing letters, watching too much television and surfing the web.
I am frequently guilty of ...uhm... ...karaoke.
Please feel free to PM me if you need help or have something on your mind you don't want to post publically...I am utterly shockproof!

My name is Keltria.

I live in South Africa, in a City called Durban, in a Suburb called Bellair. I was born and raised in Durban, but did move out and live on a farm, and farmed for many years. It became too dangerous to farm, so I eventually left it all behind and moved back to the city. (being a farmer in SA is considered one of the most dangerous occupations)

I am a geneaologist. I work for myself and I also transcribe very old documents for a records department in England. I also rescue and rehome dogs.

I am happily divorced, and have two kids and 3 grandaughters from my son, and am granny to my daughters cat. She said they discussed it - either a cat or kid, the cat won.

I have been on PTO for 7 years now. It is a wonderful part of my life, and is better than a morning cup of coffee - and I do love coffee.

I came here looking for help on locating a friend who I had known for over 20 years who was in the American prison system. Within two days the wonderful PTO community found him for me.

I also have 3 dogs of my own that are rescues and a sparrow that I saved as a baby over 2 years ago.

Hi I am Lisa and i live in Coventry, England with my 5 children and a menagerie of pets. I have also just become a grandmother for the first time. I am the moderator for Alabama and the pen pal forum
I joined PTO over 4 years ago when I started writing to my first ever pen pal on death row.
I now have several pen pals some on death row some in general population.
PTO has been a wonderful support to me and I am so glad I joined.
I enjoy being a moderator and I love helping people.

Hello

I'm patchouli and I live in a small town in South/Central Kentucky. I've been a member since 2005 when I stumbled onto the site while searching for "truth in sentencing" information. I knew absolutely nothing about prison, parole, laws or our injustice system. PTO has not only provided me with information and support, it has actually helped me to keep my sanity

. My Mr & I are MWI....he paroled to "our" Home and is currently serving for a pv/new drug charges. He is also a RSO due to unconstitutional retroactive laws for charges stemming from 1994. I have one daughter, two grandsons (4 & 1 years old) and a new grand-wee one on the way

I have also recently (December 2009) completed a Master's degree and am contemplating going back to school yet again--to become a paralegal. I am honored to be a part of such a wonderful support site and to be able to help others who follow on this journey.
