Angry Intro--Seeking Justice from Texas

Hi my name is Becky and I live in Texas. My husband is currently in jail on a parole violation for the 4th time. He has been on parole for 10 years and has never been in trouble until 3 years ago when he received a new officer. She has since made our family's life a living hell. He was violated for not reporting (he was working out of town and this was not a problem with his other officers because they knew he was doing well and taking care of his family). He was arrested on a false allegation which there was a signed statement from a witness to his innocence. He sat in jail for 8 months only to have charges dismissed and reinstated on parole. One year later he is violated again for not reporting and driving without a license. He was sent to ISF for 3 months after sitting in jail for 3 months waiting on the DWLS charge to be dismissed. He is now being violated for not reporting for one month exactly one year later again. This time though he has been railroaded by the police with 5 felony charges and 2 misdemeanors. He ran from the police and our kids were in the car. He drove 5 blocks and stopped and got out and ran. They charged him with evading by veh, evading by foot, resisting arrest, 2 counts of child endangerment and possession with intent. He had no drugs in his possession. They found a bag with methamphetamine at the site where he was arrested the next day when the owner of the home called to report something she found. He was told if we would turn over materials used in manufacturing that another person had left our home when it was vacant it would take care of the possession charge. NOT!!! I have lost much faith in the system since I have been with my husband and I am fighting mad about the way parolees and inmates are treated by the Parole Office. I have 3 children who have lost the last 3 years with their father because the Parole Board does not believe in "innocent until proven guilty".

Default Parole Violation

Becky:

My heart hurts for you and your family. I know how much this hurts. We all will have this to face when our loved ones get to come home. This is just one of the many injustices in the Justice System. YOU CANNOT ALLOW THIS TO DEFEAT YOU. KEEP YOUR FAITH IN GOD WHATEVER YOU DO. I believe that people who do things to hurt other human beings are in danger of real reprisal. If not now, then in the future. Pray constantly.... God does not answer prayers the way we feel he should at times, but he does answer them if we will only listen to what he is saying.
Love your husband for what he has acomplished and let him know that. Keep his spriits up although this is a hard task.

Last but not least, stay positive yourself. Keep positive thoughts in your heart and mind. Then, positive things will begin to happen.

My prayers and thoughts are with you.

Donna

Default texas justice

I can totally understand how you are feeling. My husband is in prison in texas too. He got 12 years on a burgulary charge and now they put more charges on him over a fight he got into in the prison. He is not facing agg. assult and he has never hurt a fly. The guy who started the fight is in on agg. assult yet they play him as the victim. Now they are going to set him off for parole yet again because of the charges. The fight mind you was in 2000. Now he is coming up later this year and the charges are not resolved so they are going to set him off again. I am so irrated and do not know what to do. The texas prison system is more corrupt then most of the inmates behind the walls. So what are we wives and mothers suppost to do now. Well I can understand so try to stay positive and remember God is the one who is in control.
