Malaysia - Mother’s Day reunion in prison

FOR 45 minutes, the 17 teary-eyed Pokok Sena Prison inmates kissed and hugged their mothers, savouring every precious second of their reunion.
This was the first time the inmates could be with their mothers without any bars or glass panels to separate them.
The meeting, made possible by prison authorities, was held in conjunction with Mother’s Day at Alor Star.
Single mother Sue described the meeting with her mother as an eventful reunion because she was able to wish her ‘Happy Mother’s Day' in person.
