Default Phone Money Posted on Monday?

Has anyone ever heard that money doesn't get posted on their phone accounts on Mondays? I swear we've had money posted on Monday (then showing up in his account on Tuesday), but my husband says they don't post any phone money on Mondays.

yeah, that makes sense. I didn't think of it that way either. Thank you again After this horrible weekend, we've used most of our phone calls, so we have 2 tomorrow and nothing afterwards. I don't know if either one of us could have survived Tuesday with no phone calls

Default What Time?

What time is the money available for phone calls on Saturday?
I sent a MO on Tuesday which gets delivered on Wednesday and still haven't heard from him. I had even told him to take money from his commissary and put it in the phone account... I have such good news for him and can't even tell him. If no one works on Saturday then I can't even call and see if the money is there or posted and he doesn't know it. It makes me sad. I've been so busy with this lawyer thing I forgot to call and see if it was posted.

My First Thought Is That He Is Taking The Tests And Can't Call, Or Lock Down Or Yes, He Isn't Smart Enough To Just Go To The Phone And Try To Call. If There Is Money On The Account, Doesn't It Tell You How Much When You Try To Call? If There Is No Money Does It Tell You This Or Do You Call And Get Charged A Humongous Amount Of Money?

IGIT - If you're in Clarinda, mail probably takes 2 days to get to Oakdale (Clarinda's mail goes through Omaha and it's 2 days from here). If you sent the MO Tuesday, they probably got it Thursday, so it should have shown up yesterday. Maybe he hasn't checked the phone yet or there is some other reason why he hasn't called. Don't worry!! I know that's hard, but I'm sure there will be a good explanation.

If I have something I need to get there in a hurry, I drive to Villisca and mail it from there as it goes directly to Des Moines that night and on to Oakdale that day. Before it has always worked. There are so many if's in this mail to prisoners. LOL My only concern, really was, the amount I had sent. He probably just didn't try the phone to see if it was working for his pin number.
It's always times like this, times when I have a lot to tell him that it doesn't work out the way I planned.

Villisca mail doesn't go through Omaha? That's weird considering it's only 15 miles from Clarinda.

I hope you get your call soon

Default The Call!

HELLO!!! I called Juanita at 1pm and she looked and said she was so sorry that she did not do the designation of the phone number. I told her it was perfectly all right and I enjoy her kindness each time I call. It was there when it should have been and it could have been used Friday, which means two days for the whole process! It works! Yes, Villisca is the cut-off for Des Moines destination.
The nice PO worker here in town told me she does that when she needs to get something to her sister the next day without paying overnight express. When we were doing our adoptions she would always call me if something special was there and let me pick it up.
I didn't hear back from the lawyer today, but that's to be expected. I just hope my husband has read the legal papers right. I wonder how long we have, to appeal? Anyone know? He was sentenced the middle of April.

EDIT: Our internet was down a day because of a cut cord... I sure learned how addicted I am to this place.

IGIT, the IA documents I've read about the IA appeals process say that generally you have 30 days to file a notice of appeal. The documents didn't say what the exceptions are though.

pockets: The lawyer called today and yes, we had 30 days, which we had until the 14th of this month. The judge is in the hospital doing angioplasty. He said he would do it for $2,000.00 but needed the money today, so my son drove me to Council Bluffs to get it to him. It isn't an appeal like I thought it was and if I had had $100,000.00 and a year to maybe do this intense appeal, we still couldn't do it because the 2000 laws said no % off, you do 100%. Now, what we are getting is the life sentence of parole gone. We got the best deal we could get. He called the county attorney a pu..y and said he could have pushed for 100 counts but yet he took it down to 1 count for us. And now we will have a couple of years off parole to be together in peace at the end... the Good Lord willing.
Now, I need to ask you this:
If he makes parole at the 70% of his sentence, do they ever cut the parole for good behavior, or do you have to do the 30% on parole that ends the sentence?
Thanks so much.

IGIT, I don't know too much about IA parole. I'm just a cheesehead, you know! Why don't you start a new thread about this parole question? Maybe someone else has insight.

The parole officer has the option to drop the parole after he is convinced the person is going ok. But the po's supervisor has to approve it. I was given 3 years probation and released after 18 months. He just has to follow rules and do whatever it is that they tell him to do.
