Kelly Frank and William Willcutt were caught Wednesday, June 13th, 2007 in Swan Valley, Montana. (Between Polson and Big Fork). They were spotted late Tuesday night bathing in Swan Lake by a forest ranger. They are linked to a burglary in Clancy, stealing ammunition, 3 knives, and food from a store there and stealing an automobile and several weapons from an Anaconda home. Kelly Frank was caught early Wednesday after breaking into a cabin. An on duty officer went to check the cabins (Willcutt's family owned one) and they thought they might flee to the cabins after being spotted Tuesday night. They left correctional uniforms, address books, and other items at a campsite at Swan Lake. When the officer was going back to his car, he heard glass shatter in a cabin next to Willcutt's family residence. He called for backup and after securing the area, told whomever was in the house to come up unarmed. Kelly Frank was then arrested, and told the police that he had left Willcutt behind at the lake. Later on, it is said that Willcutt went into someone's house while they were outside (at a ranch new news says). The owner of the home called the police and William Willcutt was arrested. The two were sent back to the prison this morning (Thursday) and placed in maximum security, facing several felonies for the burglaries and of course, felony escape. It is also said that they stole a boat to get across the lake. I've been keeping up on it on Missoulian website and KPAX website.
