Default My brother was paroled from Leavenworth after 22 yrs

So last week we found out that my brother was finaly granted parole after 22 years in Leavenworth. He was convicted of first degree murder by a jury that didn't believe that he actually committed the murder, but helped plan it. He was friends with someone who killed his wife in a divorce case to get custody of his daughter. Civilian courts dismissed it because of a lack of evidence, but the military still convicted him on the word of a documented liar.

Finally after 22 years and 12 parole hearings, it's been granted.

Anybody been paroled from there? Got a few questions.

Congrats to your brother! And to you and your family for hanging in there with him all this time. Juries are never predictable. Hope someone has answers to your questions. We're just waiting for parole eligibility so I'm not much help in that area!

congrats, god bless both of you. Retribution may at times carry more weight than justice when people are involved. no help with you on the parole issue, sorry.

I was paroled from Leavenworth. What is your bro's last name?, I probably knew him. Any questions I can help with, just ask.

bobbiedoll: can you please tell me your brother's name so I may pass it on to my son? I'm sure they know each other. My son is Byron Mahler.
