Hey everyone, I found this very eye-opening article about what life is like on Death Row. I wanted to share...

He says he was given 99 years for aggravated murder so HOW is he on death row??

I disagree. It was brought up to start a fight. And, it's not going to happen. This thread was about the person's experience on death row, NOT why he was there.

No one has asked you to feel sorry. If the state of Texas (or any other state) puts people in prison for not following the law, then they also need to be held accountable for not doing so either. They have rules as to how prisoner's are to be treated and they do not do that.

Default A deep version of the reality on DR
I must say that I was touched by the deepness of the men that shared these true everyday expressions of the truth of life on DR. I have been told some of this by my DR pen pal, but not completely as they do. I think he wanted to protect me from really what he is going through. I think that DR should be closed and the inmates should have jobs and be productive for their humans and need productivity.

Not arguing but pointing out a fact. We are constantly getting people here that seem to think we don't know what the 'crimes' are these people have done and all we do is 'worship'. We know the crimes. This forum is supposed to be about about support, friendships, learning about what goes on on death rows across the US and how to help those on death row that need it. Just wanting to bring to the attention what is really important in this thread. Learning about what death row is like form an inmates perspective. If some one wants to bring up a negative, then I will bring up the positive.

Isn't it possible to "love a death row inmate" and also be their advocate ??? AND their penpal???? Do ya'll ever advocate for your loved ones on death row ???? Do you write to them??? (I do!!! Love, write, advocate!!!! Is it ok for me to post messages here??? I can see that no question is wrong, but what about a statement...???)

Do ya'll just love them, without advocacy??? How about communication??? Could a loving advocate post something here??? What about a loving advocate penpal???? ...who's also "ADP" ?? (does that stand for "anti death penalty" ??)

Why would a person not be an advocate for a loved one ???? !!!
