'A Journey'

A little something I wrote one night in N.C.F. Berlin.
It was this sense of emptiness and seperation,
That I will not soon forget.
And it was my love for family,
That saw me through.

'A Journey'...
The loss of freedom is as crushing and raw,
As a cold New England winters night.
I sense that six feet down is not that far away.
Yet, the warmth of your letters and our faith in God,
Keeps my heart beating with lasting Hope.
I truly believe there is an answer.
And so my expectations are yet still aroused.
I ponder its ending... Is this real?
I have lived and loved,
Yet find such a still ending in this darkness...
There MUST be many more travels ahead!
As a great philosopher once wrote;
"Life is not a destination but a journey"
Though my journey has had its many fulfillments,
I am weary, tired and worn out by the emptiness here...
Who can take me higher than my dreams,
Where there is no such thing as;
Physical Confinement, loneliness and pain?
In Freedoms Embrace, yes that's where I want to be!
For just this one moment, I would live and die for.
I wish… I could make my wishes come true tonight.
Still, I find them all too real in my;
