El Dorado North Unit Closing by July 1st

May 12th KDOC announce it will be closing El Dorado North and moving those inamtes to other facilities. I'm wondering were they are going to move these guys beacuse the letter aloso said that KDOC has a male capasity of 8,099 inmates with north unit open and currently has 8,031 inmates. That measn there is no room for 68 of the 102 in north unit, not to mention the the 320 guys in RDU, some of them are not going to be minimum but Im sure quite a few will be. The letter also said that they have no plans to re-open B unit at Winfield. KDOC needs to reduce their buget my 6 million, closing north unit saves 1.2 Million so there will be more closers announced in the next few days. i will keep allposted as i see them. This is late but here is the thing. They are takng them all to the newly reopened B wing at winfield . 176 beds vs 100 at north. Some have to go to central because they have no choice. That is what is going to happen.
