Default husband hospitalized

I'm not sure there is any relevance to this as far as cutting down any time my husband is serving. He was sentenced to 5 months. On the second day of him starting his sentence he was hospitalized and has been in the hospital with cardiac problems (going on 7 days now). Is there anything I can do legally since he is experiencing health problems. Is the Rule 35 motion applicable here or have I misread that? The case is in the Nebraska District Court System. I don't know if he can handle 5 months? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

I am so sorry to hear about your husbands health problems. Unless your state is different health issues are not grounds to get them home early. My son needed hospitalization for about 7 months or so. They moved him to a prison that had a place separate from the main facility that was called a "hospital". It was equipped to handle dialysis as well as chemo and in a real pinch was within 20 minutes of a major hospital in the state. My sons medical treatment probably cost the state health in the 6 figure area.

I do hope for your husbands sake that your state is different and you find a way to get him home sooner.

I sincerely appreciate the time you took to respond to my question. How terrible for you and your son, I can't imagine. If you don't mind me asking, was it kidney cancer?

As I am thinking your situation through, did people around you act like your son's illness in a sense didn't "count?" I hope he was able to pull through and is with you today...

Wow...life just stops at that point (as a mother).??... For him to be so close to a hospital (a real one)?? There can be no rationale for that one. The bigger the hospital..the better the pickings (as far as care goes....).

Once again, Thank you.

Here, I dont think so! I know that everyone in this "area" that needs hospitals gets sent to a certain prison its kinda like a "medical" prison.!! My fiance has needed surgery for the past 8 months, && he hasnt even gotten that!! Now, for a more serious issue... I'm not sure! You both are in my prayers!!!
