I WOULD APPRECIATE ANY INFO YOU CAN GIVE ME ON THE UT PRISON SYSTEM. MY SON WAS SENTENCED TO A 0-5 YR SENTENCE. ACTUALLY 3. HE IS DEFINATLY NOT VIOLENT OR A TROUBLEMAKER. WHAT HAVE PAROLE HEARINGS BEEN LIKE FOR THOSE OF U WHO HAVE ATTENDED? HOW MANY BOARD MEMBERS ARE PRESENT?

I think its 5. Since he has a 0-5 he'll see the board in like 3months. They'll look at stuff like his past criminal history and his current charges, they'll also look at his behavior in prison and things that would better himself in there.like programs that would make him a better person when he'd get out. You can actually help him if you gather up support, letters from friends and family to past employers, etc. And even gathering people to show up to his baord hearing would help out a lot. For his 0-5 they'll probly be less hash espeacialy if its his 1st. He'll probly serve less than 2yrs, if on good behavior. Good luck!
