Question Co-habitating & parole

what are virginia's laws as far as releasing inmates on parole to a home where they would be co-habitating?
i know it's 'illegal' to co-habitate in this state, but does that affect them being released?
especially due to overcrowding and the economy..

any information would greatly be appreciated.

When my husband moved in with me, we weren't married at the time and his probation officer came up and checked out the house, gave him down the road about not calling ahead of time (he was living in northern VA, when he got kicked out of where he was living and it was either my place or his moms (which wouldn't have been good). My record (excpet for some speeding tickets) is clean and the place I live is decent, so other than not notifiy the probation/parole office before moving, he didn't have a problem with it.

I would double check with the office in your area or if you know who the officer will be check with them directly.

*I didn't know it was illegal in VA to live with someone, that seems silly this day and age*

Yeah my husband did house arrest from our house before we were married and there was no problem.

VA has tons of crazy laws...Such as Missionary is the only legal position....there is a few more I have heard about but to keep it PG I will leave it at that. The crazy things that get left on the books.
