Default Conditional release date and max date only six months apart? Is that normal?

I went on docs website amd saw that my hubbys conditional release date (3/12) and his max date (9/12) are only six months apart! Doesnt that seem pretty close together? Dont you have to have atleast a year left for parole?

Default depends on the length of his sentence

as well as whether he has a flat or indeterminate sentence (like a 1-3 or something). If flat, he serves 6/7ths of the time-so his CR and max out date could be oretty close if it was a short flat sentence. There is no real parole hearing with a flat sentence.

Well he took plea of 3 1/2 years. Thats just seems odd to have the 2 dates so close. And why would he have to do 3 out of the 3 1/2? Shouldnt it only be 2 1/2 if thats the case? Im just really confused!

he does 85% of his time. so for a sentence of 3 1/2 yrs. that would be 3 yrs.

Default exactly as explained

if he took 3 1/2 -he took a flat sentence and he has to serve 6/7ths of it (3 years) to get to his CR. And Max out would be 3 1/2 years-so there would be exactly a 6 month difference.

Did he actually lose 30 days good time or was it just suggested as part of the punishment? Often it is suggested for loss of good time but never taken away.
