Default Inmate calling solutions?

Hi everyone!
I got a call today on my cell phone, from inmate calling solutions. When it said i had a call from an inmate at a correctional facil. The line what quiet and then when it said for the inmate to state their name it was quiet again. I accepted the call and as soon as i pushed "3" to accept, the line went dead. I am assuming it was my friend calling from shafter ccf in california. He has never called my cell phone before. So i was just wondering has anyone used inmate calling solutions? And if so how does it work???

Any infor will be helpful.

Thanks

I use the inmate calling solutions everyday, but to talk to the person I always have to push 5. Then it connects the person to me, and we get to talk for 15 minutes.

If your calls are through ICSolutions, you can always change your phone number to a local number. The closer you are to the facility the cheaper the call. I know it works for ICSolutions. Not sure about others though. I know I had to switch providers to Evercom and it doesn't matter if you are local or a couple hours away its 5 bucks for a ten minute phone call.

I would imagine if you are long distance, you are paying a pretty penny regardless.

Hope this helps!

Yes I used then for almost a year, I had to psh 5 as well, but just check again to make sure. oh and hubby never said his name he said yea instead so your friend might not have wanted to put his government out there on blast even though it doesn't matter b/c they know who is using the phone because they have to punch there pin before dialing someone, if problems persist call icsolutions or go online, but it is better to talk to somone b/c the online page does not mention all their polcies that they try to obligate you too, so make sure you call

ICSolutions is what is used by the state facility he's being housed in. They are far from perfect. Every 3 weeks or so I have some odd phone issue or another. Just the other night I got the normal call and, yes, I push 5 to accept but the phone service wouldn't recognize my repeated attempts to accept. I even switched to a different phone in the home wondering if the problems were on my end. They aren't.

My Honey knows enough about the lack of reliability of this system to call back. Second attempt there was no problem at all. It's odd. One evening he said all he got was buzzing on his end and it never rang on mine at all, repeatedly. I never heard from him that night at all because he was unable to get through. He also said it sounded like he'd been hung up on once when we weren't even home. And it wasn't the answering machine. He can tell when that picks up.

We just deal with it. It's part of the package of his incarceration.

ICSolutions is pretty high priced long distance no question and in Kansas we are required to use them. I suppliment by getting an account from Concallhome. They give me a local number via a small fee and I pay for the minutes I use. ICSolutions only costs $2.00-$3.00 connection fee for each call and I now get to speak to my love every day or every other day for the same price I was paying before at twice a week and much shorter calls.

Can anyone help me? My cell is blocked on ICSolutions for a Nevada inmate - but my friend in Kansas wants to call and they deal with IcSolutions - he had his mom call me and tell me that my line is blocked....so apparently my line is completely blocked, not from just one state.....

Does any type of paperwork ever get sent to your home?
