Default Merchandise suggestions and ideas for PTO

Hi guys,
We are having a big revamp of our merchandise and amongst other things we are planning to expand the range that we offer.

I am opening up this thread so that people can request/suggest particular items, slogans or products.

We can look at any ideas and see if any of them are feasible/practical.

So, let rip with any ideas you may have. We'll consider anything that promotes PTO or puts a smile on our faces.

Looking forward to seeing what you all come up with.....

Rachel

I would love to see more plus size gear and more tech related products (CD-ROM, mousepads). If you are still using CafePress, maybe you can create a PTO anthology of stories, posts, poetry, testimonials from members (with everyone's approval, of course). I did that with my cafe press store and its been a big hit. Also a 2011 calendar. I really like the 2009 logo but it definitely needs to be a bit bigger on the merchandise and maybe add an image??

Along these lines, i'd like to see a PC wrap. That would be really cool!

I love the anthology idea. I think it would bring even more attention to the site for those who are seeking a shoulder and answers. I think that should definitely be part of the merchandise.

How about some pencils/pens with the web addy on them?? I still like the idea of window clings so I wouldn't have to put bumper stickers on the car. Or magnets shaped like a heart with the PTO logo and web addy...I'd put them on my car too!

EDIT: I once ordered mood pencils that had my employers name & web addy on them. They were awesome AND very popular

That would be awesome!

Yes'm...not multi-colored, but wherever your hand/finger touched the pencil, the color would get darker, then fade back when you set it down. They were pretty neat! And they had the company name/web addy printed on them.

ohhhhhhhhhh I love the calender/quilt idea. I think thats neat.
Or even a collection of some of the pto designs for each month.

I could def use a pen with pto logo on it.
another thought might be submissions of prison art on our envelopes (minus the name/addy) would be an idea for a calender. Or even the submissions for artwork for pto's logo that we had I think last yr. There were several that were really good.

Ok, I have taken this on board.
All the suggestions.

I love the idea of an anthology of our stories and poems etc.
I will get a team together to look into this.

Please bear with me whilst we hatch this little project and watch this space for more groovy stuff.

Rachel xx

We purchased the mood pencils from Mid-American Specialties, Inc., 1-800-408-3377, out of Memphis, TN. This what they look like, including the colors they turn when held: http://www.midamericanspecialties.co...aspx?SKU=11058

We ordered over the phone and I don't see prices on the website.

I would love to have a slogan composed that takes the stigma out of loving/supporting an inmate.

Something like "There are over 2 million people incarcerated in America. For the ones left behind, there is PTO"

Just something to communicate that the inmates are people too, that they have families that love/miss/and forgive them. And it could be your family or neighbor next, so do not look down on us.
