Default Actual pictures of inside Polunsky Unit

I found these pictures of Polunsky unit. If you keep going through them, they start at the end, but they do get to pictures of the actual inside of the unit not just visitation.

I hate to see photos like these. So sad to think of people treating other people this way.

My friend Thomas' blog gives an inmates description of most of these photos. If you are interested in reading what the different photos are, you can see the entry HERE

Ecla I didn't realize these were the same photos as the ones posted on Thomas' site. They seemed a little different.

They are the same. Yolanda M Torres is the lawyer who got the photos. Thomas selected 50 to comment on.

Ok, does anyone other than me feel like a real jerk after looking at these photos? I think sometimes we take for granted what we have out here. Even though we often think we have it bad out here since our loved ones are incarcerated and have left us home to "hold down the fort" so to speak, I think this is a real reminder that they have it worse than we do. This was a real eye opener for me. Thanks.

John described what he is being kept in but seeing those pictures hit home as to just how horrible that place is. It makes me feel so bad. Like he said, "they're not treated any better then animals." He is so right and I agree w/ you bluebella, I could never work in a place like that.

Sherrisgirl, I agree, we really should be grateful for what we have. These pictures show just how awful their lives are

Now I have a better understanding of what filth and horrid and inhumane circumstances my pen pal lives in day by day, night by night, hour by hour, minute by minute and second by second. These photos are horrific but a real image of what people in Texas have to put up with.

its heartbreaking to see how they make my hispanic homie live, it should be illegal to keep people in these conditions, it would never be allowed or tollerated over here. it makes me realise how very lucky i am to have what little i have.
no wonder he says my letters take him out of there every time he reads them, its wrong, so so wrong to be punished in this way.
