Default Malloy sees leaner ct doc

http://www.nhregister.com/articles/2...rads031311.txt

When new Gov. Dannel P. Malloy addressed his first graduating class of state correction officers recently at the Maloney Training Center in Cheshire, he made a promise to give corrections workers every consideration in budget deliberations.

just a note -
seeing how ct works first hand, i'll believe it when i see it. sorry for the sarcasm but having been thru the warehousing that is our department of correction, although many years ago, i really dont see them doing anything for the inmates. they didnt do it back then, they weren't doing it recently why change - all the doc wants is job security.

Default But the union...

Malloy is just mouthing off. The CO's union is very strong - as I remember it they didn't get his last time around. And with the number of inmates CT continues to put behind bars, there aren't going to be any layoffs in those ranks. So my guess is it's just posing...
