Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

My husband is currently in Draper. I have been looking on this site and do not see many active members that are in Utah. I would very much like to meet some people with family members in Draper or Gunnison. He is currently in Awest and awaiting being moved to housing. I have not been able to visit him yet. But am hoping that will change soon. Looking for anyone out there that wants to chat.

Sunshinewife - the utah site is a little bit on the slow side.

I remember when my fiancee was in A-west. He has now been in for about 15 months now. He is also in Draper. He is currently in Promontory, which is were the ConQuest program is. It helps a lot when you are finally able to start visiting. The beginning and the end are that hardest parts of all of this. Hang in there is gets better and time goes by quicker then you think.

My husband is in Gunnison. This is the first time I had to deal with it because my husband did time before we met 3 years and then he went back in for parole violation in January. I didn't know how to handle it or what to do. So the first couple months it was hard not to hear from him or see him. Now that I am able to talk to him and visit him it makes this seperation much easier. Hang in there it will get better once you get to talk n' visit with him.

The Utah boards are slow...but not dead yet! My DH is in Gunnison. When he first went in I spent a LOT of time reading on this site and writing LONG letters to him. It helped both of us...I didn't hold back...he got both barrels in those letters...but he still appreciated them.

Time really does go faster than you think it will.

Thanks for the replies ladies. My husband spent 11 weeks in R&O and has been in Awest for 2 weeks now. It has been really challenging for all of us. He is still only allowed the 1 call a week. Im pretty scared for him. I write him every day and he usually gets them back to me about 3 times a week. I have been very open with him. We so far have been able to talk about all the good and bad.

My husband is up in Draper at Lonepeak. The Utah forums are SO slow! I don't understand why there aren't more of us, honestly!!

Your husband is going to be okay and like everyone said, the time will go by faster than you think

I love this site. I live in Utah but my husband is in Texas. A lot of support. Usually on the husband/boyfriend forum. And I agree I don't think many people from Utah know about the site. Stay strong and you will make it. It will be hard at times but communicate with each other. Tell him everything even if your mad that he's not there. Good luck to you and your honey.

My Husband was just sent back on a parole violation. He's still in R&O. The worst part is he was just released from a 8 month stay in december. But Im holding strong and hoping he's not in for too long.

I think if we keep postin in the Utah Forum other woman will see us, when I first found this site, I didn't even know there was one just for Utah, but I'm glad I found it, I'm finally finding women on here in that live here!!...let's keep posting and maybe we will find more!!!

I live not to far from Gunnison. In Richfield. My wife just went back to Draper, Ut. She will be there for a while this time. She got out Dec 20th, so I am sure she will be doing at least a few years this time. Feel free to write back.

I just joined this site today. My husband has been in R&O, in Draper, since May. He is still there. Anxiously awaiting his parole hearing in November. :-/

My wife is in Draper. I see that there is not a lot of "talk" here. But always looking for someone to talk with.

I am sure glad there is a board that is like this. Nice to know other going through the same thing as I am.
