Oh Rachel I love this idea, unfortunately and I don't know about other states, but Colorado facilities remove all the stamps on the envelopes. Some stupid thing about melting them down and using the ink for tats, or people hiding LSD hits under them...Otherwise I would love them!

But! You could convert them into postcards which would work and a lot of jails only allow postcards anyway! Thanks PTO!

They are great. But does anyone remember the stamped envelope, you could do that for the prisons that take the stamps off! They don't come off! I am going to buy some of these stamps! The big hugs for my son! It will make him smile! He loved the simpson family stamps, the snowman, and the raiders stamp (his favorite team)! Thanks PTO another great idea!

I would like to add that some California prisons do not allow personalized stamps, do not ask me why. I do not know if it is all California prisons but I know of 4 that we have been to have sent my letters back, and when I also sent him stamps they would not allow them. it is also in the Title 15, no personalized stamps.

Are these stamps USA first class stamps that can be used to send mail to anyone? I just want to be sure before I order any.

Yes, US postal service First Class (44c) stamps.
These are genuine stamps.

Thanks Rachel! You are a gem! I sent my husband the new Hallmark cards with preprinted stamped envelopes and he said they didn't remove the stamp! Maybe if we had the envelopes with the stamps pre-printed they would leave them alone!

Yes, I do agree. I think that could help. That's encouraging that they didn't rip it off.

Unfortunately, I am finding it hard to trace a place where we can do this(pre-printed postage on envelopes).

This is great, but the loved ones cannot see it inside prison cuz they rip off the stamp before giving to inmate. It's a wonderful gesture though. I suppose the postcards, and other things will be better served

I ordered stamps and they arrived today...I LOVE THEM. They are so bright and vibrant. They came really fast too. I can't wait to hear what Lance thinks about them.

I never would have known about the custom stamps without seeing the PTO POSTAGE banner accross the pages....THANK YOU!

The stamps I ordered were a real hit with my friends. I gave one of them to a mother to use for her son and he loved it too
for those stamps!
