Default Hunger strikers=NO VISITS?

I heard that any one participating in the hunger strike will NOT be getting visits this weekend. We are unsure if this is statewide or just at Pelican bay.. Has anyone heard anything like this?? My husband is at SVSP and is participating in the stike..

Its really a shame what they are resorting to in ways of retaliation of freedom of speech in a peaceful manner.

It is said they are writing up inmates for walking too slow!!!!! So then, they dont get awarded the one picture a year they were FINALLY given after decades, and the punishment is covert and not just for participating hunger strikers. All SHU inmates are at risk of punishment for little to nothing.

I have worn the same black pants for months weekend after weekend to visits in the SHU, was just told 3 weeks ago they look blue,(They didnt look blue to you two weeks ago, SMH) I cant wear them. I had to run to the friends outside location to find appropriate black pants to wear.

I called that number today to find out what was going on and the lady checked and told me they are on hunger strike and on lockdown because of it, i asked her why they didnt just tell me that over the phone today when someone answered that appt line instead of telling me the appt. Line wasn't working and she said she didn't know, but to maybe try calling tomorrow....so now i'm wondering how long it will be till I can get a visit...

I tried making a shu visiting appt. today but when I finally got through the guy answering said the visiting line wasn't working....so I asked if that means there are no visits and he said no that there are visits, so I asked when can I make my appt. He said to call back later or on friday....So I'm wondering if anyone else had a problem getting an appt.today? So does that mean these guys are being punished for the strike?

Well, the goodnews is that they are nolonger on the hunger strike, the bad news is that CDC can move as fast or as slow as they want.
Best wishes on a fast resolution to this issue!
