Default Criminal History & Visits

My fiance hasn't been transferred to IDOC yet, he is still currently in County Jail. I've been able to visit him already (despite being on probation), but I know that will change once he goes DOC.

I'm not going to apply to visit him in DOC until I'm off probation, but my question is this: what type(s) of offenses will get you denied? I have two Misdemeanor convictions - neither are drug related or violent in any way. Will they approve me to go see him?

Every time you check in to visit they ask a series of questions including "have you ever been convicted of a felony". Misdemeanors are not ask about. You have to be preapproved and that question will also come up then. I think once you are off probation you should be fine if there are no felonies.
