Thumbs up Papers are signed

Well, my husband signed papers today for 1 county but we still have 1 more to go. They had offered him 7 on 2nd degree forgery, 1 on hot checks, & the 6.32 that was suspended on a conviction from 3 yrs ago. But DA had said to get cc we had to pay the $2500 in restitution. That didn't set well with us because we had already paid $3200 in cash bonds. Apparently when I paid those bonds they were suppose to have me sign a paper saying that I was willing to use bond money for court costs & fines. I never signed anything! Just paid court clerks office, got receipt, & went and got my husband. And to top that off, they didn't even label the payments as bonds. This gave us some leverage because if I wouldn't sign paper saying they could use bonds for court costs & fines like they wanted, they would have to refund them to me with interest since mid July! Then I could have paid the restitution, pocketed the rest, and got the the orginal deal and they wouldn't have gotten any money until my husband gets out. So I signed paper saying they could use what was left of payments for court costs & fines but only after the restitution was paid. It was kinda nice feeling like I was not being forced to do something their way. Chaulk 1 up for the good guys! Only thing we gave up for them, was credit for time served! But we figured the nearly 3 months he's been sitting in county waiting on this day was a lot better than another 7 if we had to run consecutive. Now we have to do this 1 more time and then wait and see how HB 2131 is going to effect us or if it even does. What a wonderful anniversary present we got today!
