Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

Please be aware that, due to difficulties arising from issues with Yahoo and AOL, we have changed our registration requirements.

Users with email addresses from yahoo.com, yahoo.co.uk and aol.com will no longer be able to use them to create a new account.
We have had a long-standing problems with these mail services and have found that it is almost impossible to send out account activations to new users who have Yahoo or AOL providers.

Default Are there any support groups in the DFW area?
I am having a really hard time with my husband being locked up, is there any support groups in the Dallas/Fort Worth area that I could attend for some emotional support?

There are prison wives support groups in Dallas. They meet once a month and the ladies are really friendly. One is the Prison Wives Club who meets in Carrollton, TX and the other is Wives With Incarcerated Husbands who meets in Cedar Hill, TX. If you want more information please PM me and I can get you in contact with the women who are in charge.

I attend both and I love it. It's really supportive and we do various activities each meeting. They also help with getting you in contact with people so that you can have rides/attend visits.

Those two are for wives, but there is one for any loved ones that meets each month in Garland. They are all really great. Kairos is another resource. PM me for more info.

Are there any for Parents with incarcerated kids? My daugher is currently incarcerated and I am struggling with it....jerry (hannah's mom)

Sorry but as far as I know there is not. However, I never did not do the research for parents with a child in prison, so there might be. Good luck!
