Thursday morning, employees at LifeWays Community Mental Health learned CEO Joanne Sheldon will be leaving the company.

No one was expecting it, said Heather English, public relations and marketing manager at LifeWays.

Sheldon has accepted a position at the Michigan Department of Corrections as the administrator of the department’s Bureau of Health Care Services in Lansing.

I think that some good people are being placed in key positions!

Lets see, if the MDOC will let her make the needed changes. It really is a good ol' boys club right now. Some do not give up their power easily.

But I will pray and think positive.

I agree Sandymom, but I think the Governor and the new Director are into changes so she will have them on her side. I think they know they have to do something because it's not working as it has been run for so long.

If it's on their dashboard to allow positive changes where you cannot see the saving right away.Too many mentally ill stay in prison longer because they are not getting proper treatment and cannot be model prisoners.

Just tongue and cheek, but I'll bet a con man knows just what to say to get out on their ERD. LOL
