Default Questions about credit for time served and other concerns

My gf is currently in Cobb county ga, she will be going to arrendale prison in alto. Her sentence is a year I'm afraid that she will get into trouble and get written up and that will add on to her time , does anybody know anything about alto, and will she get credit for time served she was already sentenced but not transferred to prison???

Not familiar with Georgia State Law. I guess I would have a couple of questions and a suggestion here that's pretty universal state to state as far as I know.

1.) How much time did she spend in county jail before she was sentenced? How much since sentencing?

Here's my suggestion - Go to the court where she was sentenced and ask for a copy of the sentencing minutes. It'll be faster if you have her case number available. If you don't, be prepared to give them enough identifying info. about her to be able to track down her case. In California it's first and last name (any aliases if that doesn't work) and her date of birth. I'd imagine it's similar in Georgia. Once you have those, then question 2.)

Is there any indication on the sentencing minutes as to what kind of time she has already been credited?

Hope she stays out of trouble. I think most in-house infractions are usually punished by things like taking away "good behavior" time and so forth and it usually has to be a serious offense for them to tack time onto the end of the sentence, but I'm not familiar with Georgia law.

By the way, if you haven't found it yet, you might find some useful information in the Georgia regional section of these boards. It's located here: http://www.prisontalk.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=138 I've found that people in the California boards are helpful and knowledgable about specific state laws and regulations. Hopefully some people over there may have some better answers to your questions than I can give.

Take care of yourself, and keep coming back. My inbox is always open if you ever need to talk.
