Default Florida County Jail Weddings

Has anyone ever gotten married in one of the county jails in Florida?
Me and my fiance plan on getting married while he is in Polk County Jail.
He's already wrote his letter to the captain so now I have to write mine.
I don't even know how to start the letter. Any suggestions?
Also, were you aloud contact during your marriage in the county jail?
Any* suggestions/input on ANYTHING would be greatly appreciated!

A "letter of intent" is a letter from the unincarcerated spouse-to-be stating who you are, you're loved one, DOC #, and a brief statement that you would like to marry your loved one. Some facilities require a brief explanation as to why you want to marry your loved one.

From that point the process can be slightly different from state to state and even prison to prison.

For more information on the process past this point please see our state by state marriage information

We also have a resource thread that has some very helpful information.
