CA G2G in June 2012-so cal

Let's have to GTG for PTO families in CA in April 2012 at El Dorado Park in, Long Beach I am not affiliated with California State Prison system, but I support prisoners right 100% and would like to meet the families of those people who are locked up. I am just a concerned citizen that cares about the rights of those people who are locked up!

Hi there...do you want to clearify the date? The title says June 2012 but in your post you said, April 2012.

Is there anyone at all that would like to have a SoCal G2G?

Where is the best spot? Some will have to travel a minute...just the way it goes I guess. I live in SD. Have attended one in Long Beach. Went to San Pedro and only 2 of us showed up.

If there is interest then I would be willing to try and coordinate something.

Hi, count me in...pick a place and a date. San Diego is good, lots of places to choose from and almost always great weather. This will be my 4th SoCal G2G. Ladies it's a family picnic so bring the kids, grandparents, outlaws , what have you!

I will say again...I am happy to help organize something. I live in San Diego so that would be the easiest for me to do. At least if I do it here...if no one shows up then it isn't a big deal.
I would be willing to try to do something in OC maybe...I think Dana Point has some good picnic/Q areas. Again, I don't live there so Im not very familiar with it. But if I try it up there (get up early, drive the hour or so to secure a spot, etc) and people don't show up...well then I get a little
Anything further north like Long Beach...I would still go but I don't know the area very well. Would need someone local to figure out the location.

I know a few years ago they had one at Perris Lake. Very hot I would think...but they had a good turn out.

Mission Bay park here (right off the 5 fwy) would be great. Grass, playground, firepits, plus access to the water.

I could do:
July 22, 28, 29
August 4, 5, 18,19, 24, 25

Not sure if Saturday or Sunday is better for most. Let me know what you all think. Post it here and/or PM me. Where and when...

I'm good for Sunday August 5th...I will probably be visiting on the 4th. Mission Bay is a great place, right off the 5. A spot near the visitors information center would be nice. Let's get the word out!! How is 11:00 am? I can be there early to save the spot.

What about the 18th in Long Beach?

11th in SD...25th in SD? Or the original 5th in SD?
