Default Intro--schatzie73 from Virginia

Hi, I am new to this site. I often have read posts and thought that I would give this a try to be able to have support and some answers which are not easily obtained elsewhere! I know this is not a new story line but I was a former VA DOC employee who met the man of my dreams there. To most of the world I am considered taboo!! I am soooo confused as to how to begin the process of getting visitation approved. First of all, does anyone know if there is a master list of individuals who are banned from visiting? I do not even know if this pertains to me or not and would like to find out??? He was transferred to another facility in VA, managed by a private company, does this make a difference, are they more lienent (sp?) ?? I just don't want to put my foot in my mouth if that makes any sense!!! I am excited to be a part of this group and any help would be appreciated !

Some states may allow ex-DOC employees to visit after they've been off the job for so long, other states may not allow visits at all. Keep in mind that if you are denied vistation, you can write the Warden and ask permission......doesn't mean visitation will be granted, but it may be. I'm not familiar with Virgina, but I see you've located that forum Welcome to PTO!
