Hi my son is 23 he got 6 TDC an 2 state jail I believe they judge ran them together, he was transferd on 2-29-12. I have only gotten a brief letter from him I have sent him money an 2 letters an haven't heard from him I'm going crazy I worry about him an cry all the time when I'm alone.

Do you know what facility your son is located in? Have you looked him up on the inmate locator?

Yes he is at the Holiday unit in Huntsville tx I have called an they told me to call on the 30th of this month to see if he is thru being processed an able to receive visits ima call this week an see if I'm lucky an he is ready for visits.

So sorry you're going through this mess! It only took my guy 21 days to finish intake. Have you set up your home phone for calls yet?

Okay, good! Once he can get visits and gets to his ID Unit things will get better. Glad to know you are using Jpay. Keep writing him even if you do not hear from him. Also, you mentioned his medical condition in your PM to me. Be sure that he fills out the form giving you permission to get reports on his medical condition should anything happen and he need medical attention. He may have to ask about the form because I am not sure they automatically will show it to him to sign. only if he signs that medical release of information form can they ever release informaiton to you.

aww i'm sorry to hear this i will be going through the same process in a few days since my hubby will be transfered to tdc he is in dallas co where was your son at?

I can't set up phone calls cause already have a home phone an signed a year contract an it's not an approved tdcj phone company. An thanks for letting me know about the form I will let him know

awe give it time honey, you will get to hear from him. I know how painful the "not knowing" is. Until you hear from him you feel like you cant do anything as your mind is thinking about him and how he is....keep busy, he will call and write. Things take time. Sucks as a parent that we just cant pick up the phone to see how they are or just say hi, it hurts so bad, I know.

Hang in there....things are about to get better. I was not aware that some phone systems were not approved!!! That really makes me angry!!! I hope you find a solution....I just can't get over that one! THAT IS SO WRONG!!!
Can you set up a cell phone account? Mine is in Fed, so I'm not familiar with state issues...
I know that you'll hear from him as soon as he is able....and a visit will do you all so much good...and I am praying that happens VERY SOON!!!
Let us know what's happening...... You will make it...and once things get settled, you will too. I know the pain of not hearing their voice! This too shall pass.

This is the worst part. Intake and no contact. Did you say you are e-mailing though? I think that is the best deal around. 4.00 for 10 stamps! My daughter and I e-mailed almost every day and talekd on the phone about 3 times a week. Hang in there. It will get better like 1 bird says. Praying you get to visit soon! Thank all of you for your support I'm going to see him Sunday he has been transferred to the Marlin unit in Marlin texas. An cell phones are not approved either I will let y'all know how my visit goes.

I won't get to hug him it's a non contact visit for now he has to be in tdc for 60 days for contact visits he has about 30 more days Togo but just to. See him will be enough. Thank you
