How are visits handled in regards to contact or non-contact. For non-contact, is there a phone, or are you yelling through little holes in the glass like at County in Hou? What is a contact visit like, what can be expected there? Thank you.

How long does it usually take after an inmate is admitted before he can have a visitor?

Non contact will be through the phone. Contact you can sit across a table from the offender inside (weather permitting) or out. A hug and kiss at the beginning and end of the visit and hand holding during is permitted. It usually takes a few weeks to be able to visit, but no more than 6 weeks.
