Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

He was sentenced on a Thursday, fully processed Friday, and was made a trusty on a Saturday. He has 18 months to serve DOC, non violent 4th offense. I'm wondering how he made trusty so soon, and does this mean he wont get transferred? Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks

they can be asked or volunteer to be trusty's. the co's come around from time to time asking for volunteers. it can happen very quickly, he(your man) was moved to the trusty pod the day he was made trusty. it won't affect him in any way except that he might get a few perks, such as extra food, extra set(s) of clothing. this is a good thing for him.

Being a trustee doesn't necessarily guarantee that he won't be transferred. My husband was an honor inmate in an honor dorm and got transferred.

I'm glad he's a trustee, I just hope it's a good sign that it happened so fast. I was under the impression it took a little while of serving the sentence to get that status.
