Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

Please be aware that, due to difficulties arising from issues with Yahoo and AOL, we have changed our registration requirements.

Users with email addresses from yahoo.com, yahoo.co.uk and aol.com will no longer be able to use them to create a new account.
We have had a long-standing problems with these mail services and have found that it is almost impossible to send out account activations to new users who have Yahoo or AOL providers.

Please use an alternative email address; hotmail, gmail etc.

Arrow On my way to prison
On my way to prison I am looking to do @ least 9 months....I am pretty sure that I am being sent to Marysville, but I will not know until April 4th (next week). Not really concerned for myself, I have strong faith that I will be alright I am more worried for my Family, boyfriend and friends that I am leaving behind. Any suggestions on what I can tell them to HELP ease their hearts during this time?

AHHHHHHHH lovey. There isnt any real way to ease the pain. You're going to the women's prison which, I'm guessing, is seriously different from the mens. Have you tried posting in the wives, girlfriends forum?? You may get a better response in there. Every situation is different, every person is different. 9 months may seem like along time, however, it may go quicker than you think. Show them this site and it will also be helpful. For your parents, there is a forum for parents with children in prison, and that means of all ages. I found this site while my juvenile son, now an adult was incarcerated. Its a blessing this site is. So many who can relate far and wide. Be Blessed............April

I forgot, here is what your family and friends can gain from this site.........ways to cope, ways to heal, ways to mourn(if need be), and tons of people who can relate.......

Spend some quality time with friends and family now. Take lots of pictures that can be sent to you once you're settled. You'll be fine. Have a safe & speedy journey......be sure to let us know when you're Home!

Your friends and family may want to do some reading/posting here at PTO.....they'll find information, support and understanding here
