I thought that I heard on here that there had been some kind of security incident there (minor riot?) within the past few months...

It's not uncommon for a change in management positions. Wardens and Asst Wardens often move around from facility to facility.

See the recent thread asking about the Warden at Graceville Work Camp. I posted the answers I found about this there.

Jackson Correctional Institution’s warden, Ted Jeter, was put on administrative leave on March 15.

The Jackson County Floridan has submitted a public records request for the details of the case, which as of press time had not been filled.

Jeter was first hired by the Florida Department of Corrections on Jan. 22, 1993. One of his accomplishments as warden was expanding the prison’s farm program. The program supplies produce not only to JCI, but also to other prisons in the area.

JCI Assistant Warden Carolann Bracewell has taken over Jeter’s duties. She said it was still uncertain how long she’d be acting as interim warden.

More details have yet to be released and the case is still under review. Please keep checking back with the Floridan as details emerge.

thats what I heard Fancy, but ^ is all I can find so far.

The threads keep disappearing from the Marianna message board but the Warden supposedly got a married nurse at the facility pregnant. Allegedly. According to the local gossip. Stressing - that is unconfirmed local gossip from an internet news board.

Lol I heard that also, but blew it off when I heard about the money missing. Lots and Lots of money.
This is hearsay:
They were buying top of the line stuff for the prison, keeping the invoice, but sending the stuff back. When they would get the money back it was split up someway and they would go to auto zone, walmart kind of places to get what they needed.

I have no idea if that is true or part of it is true. The story came from Jackson to an inmate girlfriend that lives in Ft Walton who told her friend, who called me. oops theres more.

The people involved are going to be allowed to resign as well as take their retirement or maybe be sent to a different prison to work. This is the part that burns me if true.
ok...everybody back to the search button
