My friend husband wants to get transfer to deerfield. She wants to know if anybody has a husband that is currently there? If anybody have any info on deerfield?

I know some about it, from what is said before. It is an older population prison, mostly medical needs. They have a waiting list for bottom bunks. It is a level two.

How is visitation is it packed? Do they have church a lot or a movie night? Do they be on lock down a lot or have a lot of fights? She trying to get as much info as possibke because he wants to leave his current prison

Deerfield is generally a laid back place because it is mostly older guys or guys with medical issues. They have all types of activities and generally only have the quarterly shakedown lockdowns--not a lot of gang/young guy mess. They have church including groups who come from the outside. Visitation is nice--generally can stay til they need your spot--that means usually 2 to 6 hours

They are housed dorm style. There are a lot of nurses/assisitants there due to severe medical issues and old age issues. Many of the healthy guys work as assistants to the older/handicapped guys. In general, the best place T has been for sure. Hope this helps!

I doubt it, Deerfield would probably be a $7 from Richmond. It is Capron VA, which is very close to Franklin. The area codes are different as Deerfield is a 434 and Richmond is 804.

No I know it wont be 7 bucks becuse mecklenburg is further and it cost me five bucks. Anybody know an imate at deerfield and lives in Richmond???

I don't know how far away Deerfield is from Richmond, but an hour and a half away from here it costs me $7.

I called GTL and they informed me that if my hubby was moved out of the area code where I live, then the call will be $7 no matter how far the prison is. Right now, we share the same area code 804 and the calls are only 99 cents. But if he gets transferred to Nottoway which is a 434 area code and 45 minutes away from my house, then the calls home will be $7. Hope this helps.
