Nervous About Next Court Date

My son heads back to court in a week. The case has been going on since Oct., 2009. We were pretty assured that there would be a plea offered and it looked good for time served freeing him that day if he took it. I know my son is counting on that as well. However, the DA has not gotten back to the attorney so it may be later down the road. I am feeling such disappointment and am more worried about my son's reaction. I am trying to believe that everything happens for a reason and to trust God that He is in charge, but I just feel so let down. I am asking for a prayer for my son for acceptance if this does not work out.

I just received a letter from my son today and he wrote quite a bit about patience and how the lack of it has so greatly influenced his life. Here's hoping that your son will be patient and accepting of his situation. It will work out in time.

Oh Trina, I am praying...and hoping for the very best to come....it is not over yet....so we can still hope for the plea....
These are very difficult days....not knowing....but whatever comes, I do pray that your son will accept...and adjust...and I know that he will. He has a strong momma to help him. I know that God Himself will comfort you in the upcoming week...and beyond....as well as your son.
Know that we care ... and we are praying for the best outcome.
Please let us know as soon as you hear....I don't think it is uncommon for the DA to hold out until the last minute!!

The waiting is hard. No matter the outcome you will get thru it. It maynot be what you wanted to happen, but it will get easier.
